The Giant Axe looked immaculate today bathed in tropical sunshine as the Dolly Blues gave Glossop the chop. The ground is an excellent one and is overlooked by Lancaster Castle and if they trimmed the foliage even better views of the castle could be enjoyed. Good catering , warm welcome and a wonderful main stand all complimented to an excellent tick.
The Dolly Blues played some enjoyable football today and fully deserved the victory. It was the complete opposite to the performances they produced last season. Glossop were not at their best today and had little threat up front. Why they persisted in pumping long balls up to the smallest player on the park i have no idea.
He was in Dolly's No5's pocket all afternoon.

Decided to visit the Lancaster Medieval Castle which was built around a thousand years ago for the first time but sadly it was clad in scaffolding and surrounded with hundreds of Harry Potter fans ! Just my luck !

Great day out
